Taking tech companies to the next level

Tech businesses looking to commercialise new ideas will be able to draw upon expert help at a special afternoon event in Hampshire.

An innovation and growth session takes place at Ocean Village Innovation Centre (OVIC), at Ocean Marina in Southampton, on Wednesday, 7 June.

The event is being held by Innovate UK EDGE and Oxford Innovation Space, which operates serviced offices and business support provider OVIC.

Stephen Deller, OVIC’s centre manager, said: “This is a superb opportunity for established tech businesses to receive valuable sense-checks by experts.

“Many businesses in the innovation space face challenges which can hinder growth, including securing the right kind of funding and investment.

“This session will explore what’s out there and what ambitious tech companies should or could be doing regarding the commercialisation of new ideas relating to products, services or processes.”

Stephen added: “It may be case that a business strategy requires fresh input, that international markets are being missed out on due to a lack of understanding or that a misfiring marketing campaign needs a digital revamp.”

Innovate UK EDGE is part of Innovate UK, the UK’s national innovation agency which supports business-led innovation in all sectors.
